Completing doula training that meets the following criteria:
We believe there are certain criteria that a doula training program should meet. The Doulas Initiative endorses several national and international training programs that it knows meet these criteria. We have defined the minimum criteria for a doula training program, which are also a common denominator among these programs, as follows.
Being educated or having graduated from institutions that Dİ recognizes and is recognized by . Institutions we recognize
As a doula, you must have attended at least 3 births, one of which must be vaginal.
Receiving supervision/mentorship from her instructor regarding the births she attended.
Having a certified doula as an instructor in the training staff
Receive at least two hours of training on mother and baby-friendly practices.
Take at least 9 hours of personal development training.
